Whizz Words Instructions

The controls of Whizz Words are very straightforward and easy to pick up on, typical of most word games out there. All you have to do is use your mouse to click on those letter tiles (virtual letter tiles heh) to form as many words as you can. Nothing really nerve racking as far as controls go. Now, let's take a closer look at Whizz Words, one of the more addictive word games out there...

Whizz Words Walkthrough

If you are looking for word games that are fun and REALLY addictive, Whizz Words is yours for the taking! The ultimate goal here is to spell as many words as you can in every category, beat the top score, and have bragging rights. This game reminds of one of the word games I was hooked up when I was a five year old kid - Buggle. In the said game, you are given a 3 by 3 board filled with letter tiles. The objective is to spell as many words as you can before the sand clock (which spans for a minute I believe) runs out.

A game of Whizz Words is composed of 8 rounds. We'll take about the different rounds in a minute. In every round, you should try to score as high as you can for every category. By the way, just like Buggle and other word games, there's a time limit. In Whizz Words, you only have 2 minutes to score as high as possible and spell as many words as you can.

Starting a new round is as easy as pie. All you have to do is click on the New Letters Button which is on the lower part of the screen. Yeah, that's the green button. You will, then, be dealt with 16 new letters from the bag. And it's all up to you to make the most out of the 16 letters.

So how do you create words in Whizz Words? Unfortunately, no typing. YES, your hand and clicking speed and accuracy is just as important as your ability to quickly form words. Remember, you only have 2 minutes. To create a word, click on the letters and do it on the right sequence. By the way, to remove a letter, just double click it.

Once you have completed your desired word, click on Enter. If the word is invalid (maybe it's NOT in the game's dictionary?), no score will be awarded to you. On the other hand, if the word is valid...say it's found in the dictionary, points are awarded and the word will be displayed on the list.

Now, let's take a look at the categories. There are 8 of them. We have: (1) 3 Letter Words, completing a word with 3 letters gives you 5 points (2) 4 Letter Words, words with 4 letters give you 10 points (3) 5 Letter Words, these, on the other hand, give you 20 points each (4) 6+ Letter Words, bag a word that has 6 letters or more and you get 50 points. These are the easier categories. Let's take a look at the rest...

(5) 20+ - To score in this category, you need to spell at least 20 words within a single round. It doesn't matter how many letters they have (make sure it's more than 3 letters though), as long as you have spelled 20, you're good.

(6) Slam - to score a slam, you should every letter in a single round...at least ONCE. (7) Straight - to score a straight, you must have at least one 3, 4, and 5-letter word spelled. There are additional points awarded if you have a 6, 7, or 8-letter word. (8) Last BUT not the least, we have Count - this category gives you 5 points for every word you have spelled regardless of the number of letters.
